Easter (older)

A cute, colourful playground to celebrate Easter for 10+ year olds. We start a sorting activity to introduce some vocabulary to describe Easter eggs such as horizontal lines, pale gold, dark blue background etc. Then of course there’s an egg hunt in which the student has to find the eggs and match them to a written description of the egg. In the next activity, the student gets to make their own egg hunt by hiding the eggs according to some instructions using the prepositions of place. There’s also a variation of the game Guess Who in this room in which players can ask questions to determine which egg. Next there are some traditional riddles using Easter vocabulary. In the fifth activity, the student has to match some spring idioms to their meanings. In the sixth activity, the student matches the animals to their homes and gets to learn the names of a few homes, and then listens to a short audio and matches the correct home to the audio. The seventh activity is a matching exercise using animal baby words. There’s another egg hunt next, this time with the gem eggs. Lastly, there’s a story and a comprehension activity using the ingenious method designed by David Skaife, where a wrong answer leads to a drop into the darkness, and a chance to reread a part of the story again. Please note that the video is of the younger playground but the screenshots show the activities, and that I took the doors out when I made the video.
