Pyramid Escape Template
This template is for teachers that have their own content and need an easy to set up place to use it. This particular maze has room for 27 questions, however you can easily shorten the maze to 10, 15, or 20 questions by adding or removing a couple of small walls. With this update the maze has been reconfigured to be one continuous path with up to 27 question rooms, and the correct answers have been changed along with a provided key. It is set up initially as an ABC Maze. What is an ABC Maze? You might ask, well, it’s a new concept that allows a hybrid of paper quizzes and Koala Playgrounds to be used together. The concept is to prepare your multiple choice content the way you usually do, be that paper based or google forms or whatever. Use the provided key to place your a, b, c answers in the correct order on your paper quiz, so the correct answers match the maze. Basically, the student enters room 1, reads question 1 from the paper quiz, chooses a, b, or c and proceeds on to the next room if they answer correctly, or they fall through and have to try again. If you would rather just change the sticky notes in the maze with your own content, that is also easily done. For students, the goal is to navigate the maze and answer questions correctly to avoid falling into pits and respawning at the start point. After finishing the maze students will climb to the top of the giant pyramid to win. For teachers, you have access to the top of the maze with the question areas clearly numbered. To prepare the playground for use just change the sticky notes for questions and answers. Then block your access door, cover the maze (or not) and you are ready to teach.
