Dunk The Teacher Math Story Problems-grade 5

An interactive and fun end of class reward activity or review. The premise is simple, student and teacher stand on trap-doors. If the student solves the problem correctly then the teacher goes for a swim, if the student doesn’t get the answer correct after 3 tries (the number of tries could be more or less, up to you) they go for a swim. This version has 9 math story problems for grade 5 courtesy of Bright Minds Tutoring. Sample word problem: A grocery store sells apples for $1.20 per pound and oranges for $0.80 per pound. If Anna buys 2.5 pounds of apples and 3.75 pounds of oranges, how much does she spend in total?
