What exactly gets white-labeled?
Your logo, your colors, your name on the login page. Your tutors and parents access the classroom via a Koala subdomain you choose. The classroom interface itself (whiteboard, cobrowser, playground) shows your branding on the login, and Koala branding is removed from the places customers actually see. If you need deeper customization (custom domain, custom email sender, etc.), we can discuss it as part of onboarding.
How long does it take to launch a white-labeled classroom?
30 days from signature to your tutors running live lessons with students. That's a contractual delivery date in every license agreement — not a best-case estimate. The 30 days covers brand customization, subdomain configuration, tutor onboarding, admin dashboard setup, and a private training session with your Customer Success Manager.
How much does white-label classroom software cost?
Transparent usage-based pricing: $1.10 per hour per student for the classroom and all features, plus $0.10 per hour per student if you want session recordings. A $120 monthly minimum covers your first 100 active hours each month. Only "active" hours are billed — hours where a student is in the classroom alongside a tutor. If a tutor is in the classroom alone (prepping or waiting for a student), that time is free.
Can I host the classroom on my own domain, or does it have to be on Koala?
Both options are standard. We can host your classroom on your own domain (e.g. classroom.yourbrand.com) — a 5-minute DNS A-record change on your end, and we handle SSL and configuration from there. Or we can host it on a Koala subdomain we provision for you (e.g. yourbrand.teachwithkoala.com) with zero DNS work on your side. Pick whichever fits your team's setup. In both cases your brand is the only brand on the login page.

What if I want to build my own classroom instead of white-labeling?
Building a real virtual classroom from scratch is a multi-year, multi-million-dollar engineering project. Video infrastructure, real-time synchronization, interactive whiteboarding, cobrowser, recording pipelines, mobile/tablet compatibility testing, scaling, security — each is its own specialist team. Most tutoring companies that seriously try it give up after 6–12 months and license an existing platform. White-labeling lets you skip all of that and focus on the parts of the business where your tutoring brand actually differentiates.
Can we terminate the agreement if it doesn't work out?
Yes. Either party can terminate with 90 days' written notice, with or without cause. We believe the product stands on its own; we don't need to lock customers in.
